Allergic Contact Dermatitis is caused by a reaction to substances called allergens that come into contact with your skin. In some people these allergens can cause redness, itching and blisters. Dr. Cheryl Ackerman will take a thorough evaluation and if necessary comprehensive patch testing can be done to determine to identify the allergen.  Dr.  Ackerman tests patients with patch testing who may have a possible allergic contact dermatitis

Cosmetic Treatments

Chemical Peels Chemical peels are used to treat fine lines, acne and mild scars. A chemical is applied in the office, which causes the skin to separate, peel off and allow new skin to regenerate. There are many other types of peels performed depeniding on the scar, sun-damage, or treatment needed.  Chemical Peels are also used to treat Acne.

Botox® cosmetic Botox® Cosmetic is  FDA approved treatment for the temporary reduction of moderate or severe frown lines between the brows in patients 18 - 65 years of age. The lines that appear between your brows actually result from from muscle movement and the passage of time.
Botox® Cosmetic works by blocking nerve impulses which reduces the movement of those muscles. With less movement, the skin surface gradually smoothes out and the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows begin to fade. The treatment with Botox® cosmetic is the only treatment of its type approved by the FDA for this use. The treatment is minimally invasive and nonsurgical. It requires no recovery time and causes little discomfort.
Restylane Restylane is used for immediate and long lasting wrinkle correction. It is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
It is the first cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid. There is limited risk of allergic reactions and no skin tests are necessary. Restylane can be used for wrinkles and folds like the ones from the nose to the corners of the mouth. It is proven to deliver long-lasting results for six months.
